Go Short will be returning to Stukafest this year! They have a passion for short films and they celebrate short film culture with an international film festival. The festival itself will take place from the 3th until the 7th of April in Nijmegen, but Stukafest gets an exclusive sneak-peek! In the Go Short room, you will experience a short film, followed by an in-depth conversation with the film maker: Marlies Smeenge.

Marlies Smeenge (Arnhem, 1993) started her studies as a theatre student at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, Belgium. There she discovered her fascination for seemingly normal people with an interesting and inspiring story to tell. She continued her studies as a documentary director at the Netherlands Film Academy, where she improved her eye for unique and corky detail in everyday life. Her movies define themselves by being both empathetic and lighthearted.
