Line up

Jet Sterkman

Poëziecentrum Nijmegen presents poet Jet Sterkman. While studying for a Master’s degree in Literature and Society she is also very busy with language in her spare time. Her poetry has no fixed subject; sometimes when she sees something or when something happens, she knows: ‘this is a poem’. She writes about: angels, autism, dead birds, gender, orange threads, dishonesty, skin, right to exist, names, hyperactivity, confusion, meaninglessness and the importance of the smallest things. In short, about her world experience. An experience that others hopefully respect, recognize, find comforting, perhaps even understand.

Jarmo van Dam

In the eyes of campus poet Jarmo van Dam, everything is decomposable. From yearning nights dancing in clubs to yawning days studying behind college benches. With earlier performances at Solar Weekend and Kunstbende, he is now set on writing about student life, relationships and digitalization. He tackles complex subjects with everchanging, innovative perspectives with sound rhythm and strong imagery, promising a unique experience for everyone tuning in to his provocative poetry.

Treinpoëzietheater

Treinpoëzietheater presents “Dat zeggen ze tenminste”, a play situated at a trainstation. The train won’t arrive for a while, and the discomfort between the two characters grows, although both do their best to hide it. In this play you will hear sentences overheard on the train, taken from their own real-life experiences. As a result, the language is often pure spoken word, full of rhythm and meaning. The discomfort will feel familiar to many.

Nikki Szofia

Nikki Szofia’s music is an intersection of singer-songwriter, cabaret and spoken word. With her high voice, poetic lyrics and catchy melodies she takes you along in her search for a more beautiful world. Through the combination of poetry/spoken word, music and cabaret, the act is an experience that flows in all directions and at the same time in the same river.

Tam Nomad

Tam Nomad is a versatile drummer, percussionist, and synthesist from Delft, The Netherlands. He blends live loops of percussion with synths and drumcomputers to craft a unique sonic pallet that merges electronic music with world beats, grooves, and ambient textures. His performances are a sonic journey where a large part of the show is improvised, making each experience distinct and immersive.

Julia Quist

Singer Julia Quist brings you a musical performance. With warm, dreamy, and melancholic tones, she invites you to experience her perspective on life’s mysteries. Using a looper pedal, she creates a richly layered, meditative sound.

Felien

Felien is a singer-songwriter who takes you on a rollercoaster of relationships this evening. Her lyrics seem to come from a diary and seek poetry in unpleasant situations. She is inspired by Froukje, Eefje de Visser, Dodie and Taylor Swift, among others.

Skin Prisoner

Skinprisoner presents the unheard gems to the sing-alongs, it forms the droning tone that lingers behind the work of skin prisoner. In his writing, he tries to funnel that immense source of inspiration into unembellished indie folk songs, creating a reflective and, above all, fragile quality. Think of Blaze Foley, Nick Rattugan and Alex G.
