The Welcome to the Living Room experience invites you to join and discover inspiring migration stories and reflections about how to live together. The stories were captured on camera by filmmaker, cinema production designer and video artist Farhad Vilkiji during the #WTTLR events in Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam in 2016. These experiences are gathered in a video collage by Laura M. Pana, Migrationlab, and will showcase for the first time during Stukafest Rotterdam 2017. Creative storytelling sessions will unfold artistic and cultural narratives that invite to dialogue and reflection on how to acknowledge, communicate, and relate to each other in multicultural contexts. The Welcome to the Living Room experience inspires and bring people together, while they open up your mind.
Welcome to the Living Room is a project of Migrationlab, a non-profit organisation based in The Hague, and was inspired by Laura M. Pana’s own journey as a Romanian migrant woman in Europe, for the past 10 years. Migrationlab co-creates spaces of encounter in cities across Europe in which migrants, refugees and locals are challenged to think and share about new ways of life and being.
